Head Of Operations

Job Description:

 

We are seeking an Operations Head to oversee and manage the operational tasks within Sharanya Spots Talent. In this role, you will be responsible for assigning, tracking, and managing tasks for our Casting Assistants and Casting Interns, as directed by the Casting Director. You will serve as a vital communication link between the Casting Director and the Casting Assistants/Interns, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration.

The operations head assists in budget planning and resource allocation for casting activities, ensuring that expenses are within allocated limits and resources are optimized.

​

You will handle communications from clients once projects are signed, following instructions from the Casting Director. It will be your responsibility to maintain records of employee work progress, which will be reviewed during weekly meetings with the Casting Director. You will also manage Public Relations for SST as necessary and instructed by the Casting Director. Handling employee leave, permissions, and requests in accordance with SST's guidelines will also be part of your duties.


 

Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  1. Excellent communication skills in both English and Tamil. Knowledge of other languages such as Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, etc. would be an advantage.

  2. Strong alignment with SST's core values and principles

  3. Demonstrated leadership skills aligned with SST's core values

  4. Basic understanding of Business, Human Resources, and Public Relations

  5. Proficiency in working with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, Docs, and Powerpoint

  6. Strong written English skills with professional level of excellence

  7. A ‘learning’ mindset 

  8. Innovative thinking and ability to be a thought leader

  9. Prior experience in the Corporate or Film Industry (preferred, but not necessary)

1. This role will not lead to acting opportunities.
2. This role is based in Chennai (on-site). Candidates willing to move to Chennai at their own cost are open to applying.
